She does look a bit different. But at least she's out and about.

The whole thing is just plain weird and strange - for me sometimes it does look like them and other times it doesn’t.

before the photo I was vaguely aware of the conspiracy theories but put them down to complete insanity - this whole reaction though (a) is odd (b) definitely makes you question whether they are in anyway up for being King and Queen (imo No) (c) respect the British public at all (imo No) and (d) have any clue what the hell they are doing

i still think that the rhetoric she had a operation is true but the way they have handled this whole thing rather than. Being open and honest with the people who bloody pay for them I think no matter what the truth is has at least put the final nail into the coffin for the royal family even if it still needs to be hammered in.

Before all of this I swayed towards seeing the positives of having a royal family over have a president like Trump. This has made me what a republic at least we can have a say in the president

That's one example of many. It's been quite noticeable (to me, anyway) over the last week or so, photos like that are coming out. Always in the DM or other news sites from the same stable. I think it looks off to you because they've only published flattering photos of her in the past. I actually think they want us to see the stark difference when she eventually emerges.

The right image looks like the lady who was at the farm shop, in the photo and the video!

Of course it’s her. Her face looks different because she has lost a shit ton of weight. You can see in the video of them walking how skeletal her legs are. Given that she’s clearly been quite poorly it’s not surprising. I expect she’s needed the extra time off to try and build her strength back up a bit.

She could appear live on the BBC and people still wouldn't believe it. I don't know what's gone on that's caused people to lose their minds over this. Some of the theories are absolutely batshit yet people seem to be utterly serious about them. For example, William beat her up and also murdered the guy who supposedly committed suicide because they were having an affair and Catherine was pregnant. Any day now he's going to be removed from the succession and charged with these crimes. And of course, Harry was asked to be regent but declined 🙄 Are they real people? It's so weird.

Oh ok, let’s just ignore the fact that she looks like a completely different person. The woman in that video is not a 42 year old. Never mind a 42 year old recovering from major surgery. This episode is gaslighting of the highest order and I suspect that some of the comments are paid.

I agree that still shot in particular looks nothing like her. Kate is 42 and looks attractive but looks her age more or less That woman looks in her mid-20s, as does her movement.

Exactly. It's absolutely not logical. I don't expect her to be back at work, she will probably still be feeling very fragile and recovering etc etc etc.

The biggest surprise for me is the fact that none of the bystanders/sitters noticed or recognised the Royal husband and wife. If they didn't and were right beside them, how could we recognise them from pics taken at a distance.

Anyway the customers sitting around oblivious could be the Protection Officers keeping an eye out incognito I suppose.

This is all just about the maddest thing I've ever seen, and all sprung from the fact that apparently people can't take 'she's expected back on public duty after Easter' as an answer.

My colleague has just had an op that means he won't be back to work for at least 8 weeks. I doubt very much we'll start gossip and conspiracy theories if we haven't heard from him in a month, nor if somebody bumps into him out for a walk in 6 weeks. We simply expect him back in the office in around 8 weeks. What he does or does not do until that point is not our business.

What also strikes me about the Sun news video accompanying the story is the vigour with which the commentators on it are insisting that this grainy footage of a bloke in a baseball cap and a woman that looks like someone in her 20s with a passing resemblance playing dress up as Kate Middleton proves beyond all doubt that everything is absolutely fine. Sinister vibes indeed.
