Same as @WellThisIsFun1 , the oil crisis and miner’s strikes in the early 70s. I remember the power cuts and using candles, I was a toddler.

First clear news memories are the Challenger space shuttle disaster, think it was on live TV. Also early 80s stuff like the Iranian embassy, Falklands War, esp the sinking of the Belgrano.

I was only 2 when Princess Di married Charles so don't remember that but def remember Sarah Ferguson and Perv's wedding.

Same here. I vaguely remember the moon landing.

I was in the womb on the platform at Paddington Station when the JFK news was broken by the station announcer. I vaguely remember the moon landing and I don't remember Aberfan or the Six Day War.

The Vietnam War was a permanent backdrop to my childhood but I don't remember it starting.
