My first reaction to this story. was, "God, no!" Yes, I know people die of cancer, and that mice already get experimented on, but really? Can this be ethical?

Transparent mouse

The mice are dead when they make them transparent and ultimately if this works, it will reduce the need to use so many mice in experiments. It’s a good thing. There are far worse things that happen to live creatures which pass ethics committees.

Thanks Tyger, I missed that part about them being dead already!

Oh that is a gross looking thing!

But I can't say it bothers me really, they can turn me invisible after I die if they want.

"Is this ethical"
Only as ethical as giving mice cancer then giving them chemo 🤷🏻‍♀️

Go in any “cool” bar after you turn 40 and you’ll know what being transparent feels like.
