Do they have to be so graphic?

The keep repeating on the news how Gary Newlove was kicked so hard the murderers trainer was found under his body.

If that was my husband I would not want to keep hearing it. And I know I could turn the news off but I just find the news has got much more graphic.

BTW The thugs have been given life.

Eugh. I agree - sometimes some things get a bit much. Sometimes I think the shock factor is required, but where to draw the line is tricky. Personally I'd agree with you on this one.

I agree. Sometimes it feels like some of the news programmes are just turning into televised tabloids.

That is what I was thinking but it was BBC news 24. If it had been ITV1 it is def tabloidy. I can't stand Katie Derham. She talks like a red top.

But that's what's disturbing. Katie Derham aside! So called serious news progs are becoming less and less newsworthy and more and more tabloidy. C4 news still qu. good but still prone to do same thing.
