VeniVidiVickiQV · 10/02/2008 01:13

Awful isnt it?

I'm so glad my brother's not working down that way tonight.

FatBellyJones · 10/02/2008 01:16

so sad.. it's like my childhood and youth going along with the buildings.. I grew up around there and that's where I used to hang out as a teenager too

VeniVidiVickiQV · 10/02/2008 01:23

DH thinks it's all a bit suspect, considering the reports of some parties wanting to redevelop the pub.

OverRated · 10/02/2008 02:30

Very and as I too spent a large percentage of my weekends in my 20's in Camden...

But sorry, pmsl at that bbc report from a woman at the scene:

"Sitting on a bar stool in the middle of the road at the edge of the cordon in Chalk Farm Road, she said..."

Is it me, or is that very Camden?

onebatmother · 10/02/2008 11:01

very very, lovecat!
How sad! I used to live on Parkway.

DarrellRivers · 10/02/2008 11:16

I used to drink in the Hawley arms before it got all poncified.
My BF of the time used to do all sorts of dodgy things around there.
Lived on Camden Road and Albany street as well for a few years
The Lock Tavern was however my bestest watering hole.
Aaah, the old days

DarrellRivers · 10/02/2008 11:17

I used to drink Snakebite and black
V sophisticated

onebatmother · 10/02/2008 11:18

DarrellRivers · 10/02/2008 11:25

it sounds a possibility , although if like www says, development wanted, it does indeed sound fishy
