I do think the media should be providing an adjacent pic of Peter Townsend for comparison purposes - how are we supposed to make intelligent comments without one?

Anyway PM always wore those 50s frocks with 18-inch waists, and if she'd stopped wearing them or disappeared for 6 months surely someone would have noticed at the time.
