So CV has blasted RS saying he co founded a hedge fund which in the last few years invested in 1 billion Moderna shares.He is saying he put all his assets in a blind trustand refuses to say if he holds assets in Moderna.

Mchelle Mona was accused of aggressive lobbying to award PPE Medpro the £200 million pound contract to produce face masks and gowns and benefited from this contract which she denied.

The super rich just got richer in the Pandemic.

Im not a massive fan of Carol V but i applaud her for saying investigations need to be made and heads should roll over this.The Tories are a party of corruption and sleaze

He has indeed put his assets in a blind trust. The whole point of a politician using a blind trust is that they don't know how their money is invested. If Sunak was able to answer the question about assets in Moderna it wouldn't be a blind trust. Vorderman is wrong saying that he refuses to say. As he has said on several occasions, he can't say because he doesn't know.

COVID was one big con that mysteriously disappeared off the news the day Russia invaded Ukraine.

No, I am not saying he is stupid. I am saying that he has no way of knowing what assets are held by his blind trust.

The whole point of a blind trust is that the owner of the trust (Sunak in this case) gives total control to the trustee who can then manage the blind trust however they think best. The owner of the trust knows what investments they handed over, but they have no way of knowing what the trustee has done with those investments. The idea, if you are a government minister, is that you don't know what investments are held in the trust so therefore you aren't tempted to exercise your powers for your own financial interests.

So no, I'm not saying Sunak is stupid. However, he has no idea what assets are held by his blind trust. If he knew whether it held shares in Moderna, it wouldn't be a blind trust.

In the same way, assuming Labour win the next election, Starmer will put any significant investments he has into a blind trust and will be unable to answer questions about whether he has money invested in a particular company. It won't mean he is stupid either. It will just mean he is using a blind trust.
