Why do people think praying should be excluded from the exclusion zone rules?

People can pray anywhere. In these cases it's purely for intimidation purposes

I'm pleased he was removed and fined but I'm disappointed that so many people seem to think he had every right to do it

If it was just a case of peaceful prayer he wouldn't be involved with a hate group like ADF.

These anti-choice types love to play the martyr, don't they?

angstridden2 · 20/01/2023 11:16

A guy praying for a child he fathered 20 years ago outside a clinic with an exclusion zone is very odd. When men carry and give birth to children and then bring them up alone I might, just might, concede they have a say in it, bearing in mind something like 90% of single parents with resident children are women I believe.

I don't think it's that odd. His motives are perfectly clear.

Why do all these pro-choice obligations keeps talking about how he's an army vet? The law still applies to him.

Attention seeking twat

What happened to the lady who was arrested for doing exactly this a few weeks ago? Wonder why there are repeated efforts to breach exclusion zones lately.

Because it's not about them and it upsets the people who it is about

So he drove his girlfriend to an abortion clinic and paid for the abortion and because he now has regrets he thinks women should be penalised for it?

What a tosser

It's very sad he regrets his ex girlfriend having an abortion. But what would help him with that is getting counselling, not traumatising and intimidating women in vulnerable situations (along with not aligning himself with an forced birth homophobic group)

He has decided because he made a wrong decision that no other women in that situation are capable of making a right decision, how incredibly egotistical, how very toxic male to assume he knows better than women from his one experience

I'm infertile and if I ever managed to get pregnant I literally could not choose to have an abortion, amd would be devastated if I had to for medical reasons. However that has fuck all to do with my belief that women should be allowed the right to choose. Because it doesn't take much intelligence to understand that everyone's situation is different and my choices shouldn't be imposed on someone else.

How very dim you must be to think because you don't want something no one else should be allowed it

And I have no interest in people using (in this case I think Christianity) to justify these actions. The bible does not forbid or even mention abortion (and abortions happened at least within the time of the new testament). And there is a passage which implies the writer believes life begins at birth, as the punishment for killing a baby is death, but the punishment for causing a miscarriage is a financial penalty (apologies for the blunt delivery)

Wouldn't be surprised if the ADF put him up to it in the first place.

Patineur · 04/02/2023 12:26

If all he wanted to do was pray, clearly he had no need for ADF to be there, let alone filming. The whole thing is so blatantly a stunt. If he felt that bad about his child, he should be ashamed of using him or her as a pretext for this nonsense.

I wouldn't be surprised if the whole 'I drove my girlfriend to get an abortion' thing is made up.

MrsVeryIrritated · 04/02/2023 12:36

because a man's perspective on this is SOOOO much better than a woman's? 🙄🙄🙄

Well, yes. I'm also very sceptical that he knew the foetus was male and has given him a name. A biblical one at that.

That is what immediately stood out to me. How did he know it was a boy?

Was it a late term abortion due to health issues or did he just assume it was going to be a boy and that was it.
