CANCER GIRL'S HAIR HORROR

Read this on SKYNEWS:

"A young cancer sufferer had her hair burned off by a thug after it had grown back following four years of intensive chemotherapy.

Bianca Powell, 12, ran screaming through a school corridor desperately trying to beat down the flames with her hands.

She only returned to classes at Pontarddulais Primary School, in Swansea, in September following treatment for a brain tumour.

Her blonde hair fell out as a result of the chemotherapy and had just recently begun growing back.

She is also blind in one eye and paralysed along the left side of her face. She was three when the tumour was diagnosed.

Her father has taken her out of school since the attack, suffered on her 12th birthday.

Jason Powell, 38, said: "It's a nightmare. Bianca keeps asking how anyone could do this to her.

"She had just recovered the courage to go back to school after radiotherapy and chemotherapy when this happens.

"Bianca really wants to go back but we've been through hell and back as a family and we love her so much. We want her to be safe and happy."

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault and bailed by police pending further inquiries."

How awful is that? Little monster needs locking up. That poor, poor girl has been through so much without this happening to her.

Dreadful. And what on earth is the school like, that children can set fire to each other?

happymerryberries · 03/12/2004 15:48

and what sort of parent raises a child who would do a thing like that?

noddyholder · 03/12/2004 15:58

really shocking

Hulababy · 03/12/2004 16:18

I heard about this on the lunchtime news on Channel 5. Horrific isn't it? That poor, poor girl

Really does make you wonder about the state of society these days

tammylove · 03/12/2004 16:42

Nasty little B***D! If he was mine id slap him and ground him till he is 18.
What kind of person, behaves like that? Another kid gone bad in my opinion.

saintnikcolas · 03/12/2004 16:43

the little shit he deserves a slap i bet he gets away with it while that poor little girl has to suffer xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

happymerryberries · 03/12/2004 16:44

The sick bastard needs locking up.....and at 14 he should know what he was doing. I hope that they throw the book at him

winnie1 · 04/12/2004 03:04

Horrible, horrible, horrible

Gobbledigoose · 04/12/2004 08:14

What else can I say - I'd like to take a match to his hair and see how he likes it.

buffettheturkeylayer2 · 04/12/2004 08:40

JC, what is wrong with some people? I hope the little shit gets the book thrown at him - and is made to go on to a cancer ward to see what this poor girl has had to deal with first hand.

happymerryberries · 04/12/2004 08:58

Yes, that would be a good bit of community service for him. Let him go and clear up all the vomit from the chemo ward! Let him see the courage that these people have to fight death, and then let him ask himself how big and 'hard' he feels.

Christ, if it was my son that did something like that I woluld be so disgusted with him. But I expect he has told his parents so lie and they are daft enough to believe him, probably think he can do no wrong! Little shit.

tammylove · 04/12/2004 12:11

Buff, good idea in theory, but the little shit probably wouldnt be bothered and spend his time tourmenting them.

My mom had cancer and went through intensive chemo, which was hard on the family.

I have got to know alot of the patients and they are amazing people, so strong and brave.

This 'child' needs a hard lesson in respect.

what a horrible child..as if she hadnt been through enough
