oooh. dh just called from work telling me this!

fryalot · 01/02/2008 11:39

who's going to ring in then?

twelveyeargap · 01/02/2008 11:40

He's such a knob though. It would be such a waste to have to throw my lovely Roberts radio out the window in disgust.

MascaraOHara · 01/02/2008 11:41

I can't listen to Radio at work.

Is he going to say that if the uprising is not quashed we will take over the world(?)

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 01/02/2008 11:41

ooooh, will listen to that.

Was listening to Womans Hour earlier, I haven't listened to it for ages and forgot how much I like it.

PuppyMonkey · 01/02/2008 11:43

I daren't ring in cos I'm off sick from work and they might hear!!

Plus I'd be rubbish...

I might have to borrow some headphones and see if I can get radio over internt!

southeastastra · 01/02/2008 11:55

i heard that too, though it sounds like we all are getting our knickers in a twist about silly things (the bed) rather than the more important issues.

RTKangaMummy · 01/02/2008 11:58

I am listening/watching on the TV

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 01/02/2008 12:01

I listening on my TV too! Doesn't sound too positive does it?

It wasn't mumsnet that complained about the bed was it?

'Parents and activism' don't go well together according to some guy on the show! He might as well have said 'women' and activism don't go well together

Mums websites have too much power is the gist of the show. Coz obviously we put guns to people's heads to make them do what we want.

sunflowervalley · 01/02/2008 13:14

I expect Woolworths probably thought mothers are their potential customers so best not to allinate them.

I did notice that most of the callers who thought that mothers were over reacting and should have better things to do were male.

I thought they missed the point really .

Someone said should you not call your son Jack because of Jack the Ripper, but they were asociating this name Lolita with a bed which was the point of contention really.

WestCountryLass · 01/02/2008 14:36

Some bloke rang up and said that women should get back in the kitchen where they belong

He can't have tasted my cooking

cutekids · 01/02/2008 14:39

heard about this on one of the newsreels this morning
was it something mumsnet started then?

southeastastra · 01/02/2008 15:21

not mumsnet, raising kids
