The thing is that if you're a TV binge-watcher and there is a male presenter suddenly and recently missing from a programme he usually fronts or is a part of, you'll know that's who it is.

The victim's mother said she saw a photo/video of him leaning forward in his boxers.

According to bbc news police are assessing information from the bbc about the allegations but there was no investigation at this time.

The lawyer of the young person says the mother's claims are rubbish and that nothing inappropriate happened. Says they sent a denial to the Sun on Friday telling them there was no truth in it but the Sun went ahead and published anyway.

What a mess this all sounds.

I saw that on Newsnight last night. I wonder how much of that is grooming denial and how much is over zealous parents getting the wrong end of the stick? Until a proper investigation is carried out, it’s an unknown. Whether that actually happens and any of the findings make it into the public domain is another story, of course.
