So, so sad.

God, it seems such a devastating start to the year at the moment, there seems to be new everyday of some sort of accident or tragedy involving a child

what a tragic case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time!

Just seen this on the news - an absolute tragedy - the mother was completely unhurt. How devastating for the family.

we used to live in Plymouth, shortly before we had arrived, a house at the end of the street had been blown up in a gas explosion.

In the house that we just bought, there was a gas pipe under the floorboards, that had been connected to a gas fire. The previous occupants (skint) wanted to take the fire with them, so they cut the pipe, removed the fire, and put a bung in the end of the pipe.
It was still leaking gas.

Fortunately, we discovered it before anything happened - but we'd been living in the house for several months, wondering what the smell was.

I just thought how if only she had been 10 seconds earlier or later she would be alive now

how awful poor little girlfeel so sorry for her family too
