So sad to hear this. What a lovely man.

Ah that is sad news.

Very sad to read this, he was such an inspiration during the dark days of the apartheid system. A truly great man.

Gutting. Truly a leader who walked the walk and lead his country and the world in how to overcome collective trauma. Nothing but respect for him.

That's sad (was always going to be sad) but what a great innings and to have seen and done so much in a lifetime, much respect to him and may be rest in well deserved peace.

What a lovely man.
I saw him twice in real life: Once in South Africa and he waved 😄
Once he walked past me in a corridor at a peace conference (and then I listened to his awe inspiring speech).
His death is a loss to the world.

He gave me my degree. Lovely man.

A great man - what a legacy he has left to the world. I wish there were more truly good people like him.

I absolutely loved Desmond Tutu. He really seemed so very wise, warm, funny and charismatic. He was fascinating to listen to or watch on TV. I loved his smile, his voice, his sense of joy and fun. He achieved so much in his long life. May he rest in peace.
