Brandnewchristmaspyjamasgirl · 12/12/2007 15:02

very sad

Blandmum · 12/12/2007 15:02

I wish I hadn't read it either.

All I know is that my dh is fighting to live as long as he can for our two, to give them all the memories that he can, and to provide for them as best he can.

She needed help and didn't get it. I feel that it wasn't the terminal diagnosis that caused this, but depression or other mental illness.

Hulababy · 12/12/2007 15:03

I agree - think it needs a bit more of a warning really for those who might click but would be upset.

FAO anyone who will click - story is very sad involving a mother diagnosed with just months to live and how, in her desperate thoughts I would imagine, couldn't bear the thought of not being with her child even in death.

Hulababy · 12/12/2007 15:04

mb

Wasn't quick enough with my warning, sorry you ended up reading.

I agree - it was not the cancer that caused her to do this, but her state of mind at that time.

UnquietDad · 12/12/2007 15:05

The family have issued a statement via the BBC to say she did not have cancer.

The plot thickens.

zippitippitoes · 12/12/2007 15:06

i agree with mb and hula...i know it says tragic but I think it is a very upsetting story..and i would rather not have seen it..i think she needed help she didn't get

UQD - yes, update here on BBC

But Det Ch Insp Danny Long said Ms Hart's family did not know why she had told people she had the disease. He said: "We would like to clarify on behalf of the families that Emma had not been diagnosed with cancer and therefore was not receiving treatment. "We do not know, and will never know, why Emma said she had the disease."

Sorry, I seemed to upset so many people. No my tragic postings from me, girls.
