Just for the sake of clarity, I think this is about Claire Verity and did not involve Gina Ford at all.

AnguaVonUberwald · 04/12/2007 13:48

So sorry, feeling very pregant today, brain not working - absolutly claire verity!!! NOT GINA FORD!!

"Ofcom ruled there was no evidence to suggest the children used had been mistreated, or were in any distress."

Ofcom watched the tapes of the show with their eyes tight shut and fingers in their ears.

Ofcom are shite. I've complained to them about stuff before and they always side with the broadcasters. Probably hoping for a job at Channel 4.

AnguaVonUberwald · 04/12/2007 13:58

"Viewers were also concerned that Ms Verity's practices from the Truby King method were not highlighted as having potentially harmful effects.
But Ofcom concurred that the families involved in the programme had given their consent, were aware of the techniques employed and were free to withdraw at any time they wished."

But what about warning all the people who watched it, who were not informed and were not aware?

Oh why, oh why did I even bother to complain???

Just futile, futile, it makes me sick to think that Ofcom came to this decision. The power of Channel 4 is absolute and now free license is given to people like Daisy Goodwin to inflict even more harm on children.

When will it end??

What is the point of Ofcom??

TwoIfBySea · 04/12/2007 14:29

As I said on the thread in Telly Addicts, it is very sus that they upheld a single complaint over a dj saying "mother-crusher" which sounds hee-haw like mother-f*er (which they mentioned in the report several times haha!) But over 700 complaints and the programme was fine in their opinion?

It just shows that these groups are more influenced by making sure their meeja buddies are okay.

AnguaVonUberwald · 04/12/2007 14:45

They don't seem to have got the point of the complaints at all - especially the stuff about not following guidlines, not putting out warnings etc.
