There is no way they did it. They are definitely covering up for one of their surviving kids. Property / inheritance related murderers of siblings are common across Iran and India - even more so when they don’t have kids.

You are guessing.

Honour killings are common in Iran with research suggesting that there are around 2,000 cases a year of women being murdered in honour killings. Around 20% of all murders and 50% of family murders are related to sexual and honour issues. It doesn't help that parents who kill their children face a lesser sentence than other murderers. Sadly, this story is entirely credible.

I’m sure there’s a better expression than ‘honour’ killings, I don’t know what it is. It’s hard to believe there is less shame in being a murderer than having a wife/daughter not obeying you.
