Arafat in an irreversible coma

The French media are reporting his doctors saying he is not clinically dead but in an irreversible coma.....

I saw the clip on the news where they announced his 'death' to Bush - very surreal.

I hope that the palestinians find another good, strong leader - surely there must be others in the wings, perhaps even better than arafat?

BBC news is now saying it is 'reversible'

sad news. I hope Sharon allows him to be buried in Jerusalem or else all hell will break loose.He has said he'll block such a move but my guess is all world leaders - even Bush - will exert so much pressure Sharon will have to cave in.I hope so, other Israel will burn.
