Advice for rule breaking families

How do you folks suggest dealing with families who are ready and willing to break the covid rules? We live a long way away and never planned to visit knowing the situation. The rest of our families (both mine and his) are continuing with their large family Christmases regardless of being in tier 4 and containing CEV family members. We feel worried and exasperated.

Nothing you can do about it. You just need to keep yourself feeling safe and keep your fingers crossed that they don't become ill.

Actually you can report them to the police. I feel like perhaps a financial fine would put them off doing it again and make some much needed revenue (for the nhs). I'm so pissed off with their selfish attitude.

Unless they want to visit your home there is nothing you can do. My FIL is 87, SIL still lives at home and left to stay at her boyfriends house. Then told DH she expects us to visit them for Christmas.

DH felt forced to drive from Somerset to Kent. Now he doesn’t have find an excuse.
