BHS Dominic Chappell jailed for tax evasion!

Well this has made me happy!

The man who siphoned millions of quid out of BHS and trashed the pension scheme, while ensuring the already troubled company would go bankrupt and lose 11,000 jobs.

He has actually been jailed! Six years! Not for destroying BHS but for not paying tax on the dosh he spooned out of the company.

I need a little dose of satisfying justice on a tense Thursday evening when so much else in the world is so shit.

That is good news!

I thought I was the only one who cared, BoomBoomsCousin.

I was so angry with Chappell's behaviour. And that of Philip Green.

Their sheer contempt for the shop staff, many of whom will have been low-paid and (certainly in my local BHS) dedicated, lovely, professional people.

Still, even worthless pieces of slime trip themselves up occasionally. Well done HMRC for nailing this one.

I guess it's sort of old news and a bit overshadowed at the moment!

It was (is) disgusting that he can do what he did and there was no come back whatsoever.

Philip Green should be in prison too, of course. In some ways, this greedy man was Green's 'patsy'. Green stripped it of all its wealth (in his wife's name) before selling the financially toxic company off to this dodgy guy.

Green should be sharing a cell with him.

I met him once and he was a very, very nasty piece of work. Was very threatening to me even though I met him through work and I was there to help him.
