That landlord should be named and shamed. Disgusting individual. And the new landlord asking for that amount of money is just as awful. I'm guessing he was technically a lodger so limited with rights, but whatever happened to people having a bit of basic humanity and empathy for other people? No wonder people despite landlords (and I say that as one myself, but I actually give a shit about the wellbeing of my tenants)

What a desperately sad story. Poor guy.

And his wife and kids. Would be nice if landlords could be named and shamed. It also I guess shows up the PPE problem, and how for London particularly, the government did not move fast enough in the early stages.
