Army troll factory, 77 Brigade

Praised by General Sir Nick Carter here...

Which means that the Army is now being used politically, as has been since at least 2015. As Mumsnet is one of the largest forums in the UK you'd have to be a bit naive not to realise that they operate here.

They are basically paid and uniformed internet trolls who defame and contradict anything which doesn't conform to the government's line. Noone seems to know how many people operate as part of 77Bde but Carter mentioned that up to 20,000 were available.

The Rapid Response Unit in the Cabinet Office, originally the Rapid Rebuttal Unit, was set up to smear and bully journalists who said things that the government didn't like. Entirely political it was staffed by SpAds.

If this brigade or it's predecessor unit, has been used previously against the British population then it brings into question the legitimacy of the Scottish Referendum to my mind. I have seen many cybernats complaining bitterly about this unit.

Whilst I am a Unionist myself any intervention by the Army into controlling it's population or engaging in politics is completely against our values and history.

As a veteran I consider that these people are a disgrace to their uniform.

No, they aren't paid internet trolls pushing the government line, nor are they controlling the population or engaging in politics. They deal with misinformation and disinformation such as the ridiculous claims that Covid-19 is linked to 5G. There is a huge amount of disinformation about Covid-19 on the internet. You seriously think the government shouldn't be doing something to combat it? Or perhaps you think that saying there is no link between 5G and Covid-19 is "pushing the government line" rather than stating settled science?

Just entertaining the notion this is true..... what would their usernames be I wonder!

Dyrne · 24/04/2020 11:54

You might want to get your tin foil hat adjusted, OP, think it’s a bit too tight...

Dyrne · 24/04/2020 11:55

Although I am now greatly amused imagining someone having to brief a general on the Penis Beaker references Grin

Dyrne · 24/04/2020 12:46

“So, Sir, you will notice that user “Cuntymccuntflaps” mentions a Penis beaker in her demands for a Parking diagram and recommends that user “Sitontomhardysface” cancels the cheque...”

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 24/04/2020 12:56

What do you mean by 'Unionist'?

cdtaylornats · 24/04/2020 15:49

He means he is an SNP troll.

"No, they aren't paid internet trolls pushing the government line"

How do you know what they have been doing since 2015?

As a veteran I consider that these people are a disgrace to their uniform.

Well, that's a shame as they speak so highly of you.

LastTrainEast · 27/04/2020 13:26

".Noone seems to know how many people operate as part of 77Bde but Carter mentioned that up to 20,000 were available."

That was for all tasks lol If you were a veteran then I expect you wouldn't have made that mistake, but you're serving up misinformation and you ARE the problem.

Spinflight · 27/04/2020 14:34

"Well, that's a shame as they speak so highly of you."

Engaging in political activity is strictly prohibited by the Queen's regulations.

Every squaddie knows this.
