This morning, my what a revelation!

A queue at an airport with two elderly women giggling
A hold-all on the floor
Flight times over the checking in desk
and the pièce de résistance two people boarding a plane.

I'm so glad the cameras were there to capture it all - breaking news indeed .....

I think it's time the meeja got a grip

I turned it on at 6:30 and BBC breakfast had a good 20 minutes of footage of the windscreen of a car with a woman sitting inside and inane, repetitive waffle about someone leaving for the airport. What a waste of viewing time.

cazzybabs · 09/09/2007 12:20

Well I am glad this is breaking news and not some news about the end of the world being nigh!

LadyTophamHatt · 09/09/2007 12:23

Cazzy, ds1 and the dog were in the paper about the beach rubbish.

do you still want it???

cazzybabs · 09/09/2007 12:24

Ohh that would be great...

now that is breaking news....

wannaBe · 09/09/2007 12:39

why in the name of god are they still talking to the media.

They might stop all this speculation if they'd just shut up and come home quietly, and ultimately things would run their course and they will either be charged or not.

But I'd put any money on them being on gmtv/this morning by the end of the week.

NadineBaggott · 09/09/2007 13:21

wannabe - I think even if they did stop talking to the media its far too late now. They set the ball rolling and its picking up pace

yeah wannabe, perhaps its all just one big fucking publicity stunt!! FFS

Carmenere · 09/09/2007 14:07

When they started talking about the traffic on the way to the airport and the Castle Donnington concert I turned off. FFS.

sparklygothkat · 09/09/2007 14:29

who you talking about??

2Happy · 09/09/2007 14:40

I am so glad someone started a thread on this! I was watching this morning and was sadly not surprised to see that their main headline was them leaving; but then they crossed live to the scrum outside the villa which resembled nothing so much as a seething mass of maggots. At that point I thought the BBC had really reached rock bottom in sensationalist tabloid journalism (in the loosest sense of the word).

But then they cut into the sport saying "and now we cross back live to our correspondant" just because a car had arrived, leaving them to fill the space with a never-ending stream of supposition, suggestion and empty vacuous nonsense because there was nothing to say - I switched off ranting madly and can't actually come close to describing my revulsion on here. How has journalism in this country become so repulsive?

2Happy · 09/09/2007 14:42

Incidently, I should say I am posting about my digust at the BBC; I am not about to get involved in a discussion about the case itself.
