Not really. Since 2015 the tax generated by the tampon tax has supported women's charities (ahem plugging the gap in the governments own funding.) So how are those charities going to manage? Will the government replace that funding?
While I disagree that solely women should pay for women's issues the tax removal is only going to save me a few quid over the course of my reproductive life and I'd rather those charities were funded than not.

I can't imagine the 5% reduction will do much to alleviate the problem of women being unable to afford basic essentials but ok [shrug]
