What is Elton John thinking?

He's planning to leave his millions to his godchildren -
the impoverished Brooklyn, the destitute Romeo, the needy Damian, and some others.
FFS!!!! THESE KIDS DON'T NEED MORE MONEY! Surely he could think of some more needy people/causes?
Really winds me up, this does!

I can't stand the bloke.

me too, emkana - was wondering if it was time to start with the begging letters!

Mind you poor old Brooklyn will only get 1/3 of his parents' money....he might end up destitute...

JuniperDewdrop · 02/10/2004 00:10

I went right off him ages ago but the recent tirade at the airport got right on my t* think he's just saying this for attention, poor cow!!

could I have mine re baptised?

perhaps Uncle Elt would be available for a bit of God Fathering??

just another thought - is Uncle Elton really helping to bring these children up to follow Christ - after all if he is their God Father that is one of the promises that he has made??

But it's his money to do with as he wished. I have no problem at all with it, sorry. I suspect some parts of his estate will go elsewhere, lots in tax too, and he is normally involved in charity so no doubt some there too.

Agree with Hula - i am sure he will give a lot to charity and also as he has no children of his own surely his godchildren are the nearest thing he has? It is not his fault that they happen to be wealthy/famous etc. If our children all turned out to be rich wouldnt we still leave our "Estate" to them?

Same here. If my children end up rich, I wouldn't leave them my estate. I'd find something better to do with it, where it would do the most good.

MeanBean · 02/10/2004 11:53

I think he's got a right to leave his money to whoever he likes.

But he's a preposterous little man anyway. In a Boris Johnson sort of way though, I think he adds to the gaiety of the nation.
