Blimey!
How scarey.
Glad everyone was okay.

flamingtoaster · 23/08/2007 18:18

Glad the baby was OK. Must have been scary for the Mum.

Whooosh · 23/08/2007 18:25

Do you think he really weighed 1lb 1oz or was a misprint? That is just sooooo weeny.
A friend of mine had a stillborn baby girl at 1lb 6 at 29weeks and she was absolutely tiny so can't imagine a smaller one....

TheQueenOfQuotes · 23/08/2007 18:30

Whoosh - well she was only 25 weeks pg so it sounds about right (and looking at the picture you can tell that he's tiny even now!)

aww that is lovely

Whooosh · 23/08/2007 18:39

Lovely but oh so very weeny- a lovely ending to the story

  • isn't abortion "legal" until 28wks?(and I am not,before I am attacked,criticising abortion-am pro choice,just chocked at 25wk survival)
TheQueenOfQuotes · 23/08/2007 18:52

Whoosh - think it's 24 weeks the "cut off" for abortion

Wow! They were so lucky.

mixedmama · 29/08/2007 13:36

That made me cry - must be my hormones.

doyouwantfrieswiththat · 30/08/2007 19:36

me too mixedmama - I'll be 25wks when we fly to NY , it must be terrifying to be in that situation. so glad mum & baby are okay.

mixedmama · 31/08/2007 07:40

It is justs sureal though isnt it, I mean at 25 weeks a lot of the time the hospital are able to get this sort of result. Nothing short of amazing.
