As a ex employee of Hermes the job has got so hard in the last couple of years your self employed so if your ill car breaks down children sick and can't work you don't get paid you got to find your own cover if you can't work or they get rid off you and find other people to do it you don't get paid set rate you get paid per parcel delivered that's why lots of couriers deliver it anywhere just to get paid the amount you get per parcel has gone down since I started there they put you under a lot of pressure to deliver all parcels you get that day even if you have to work from early morning to late in the evening and if you can't get them done they roll over to the next day plus the parcels for that day so your under even more pressure to clear all the parcels every day any way possible not the best firm to work for in my opinion

It's not very fair but I guess it's just unskilled labour and those jobs pay poorly unfortunately - there should be more rules enforced by some sort of agency for these types of jobs

I do see a lot of stories about Hermes, not good ones.
Why do you think they're so much worse than DHL or similar?
