Awful incident with multiple children hurt and one killed in what appears a deliberate hit and run. I know children at that school.

Twitter is saying there were multiple attempts to run into people?

Yes Twitter says at two schools attempts were made Roding (think failed) then Debden. Obviously need to await confirmation but BBC reporting 1 12 year old boy dead and other children injured.

On the bbc news it said they were wanting a 51 year old man in connection.

"Police have launched a murder inquiry and want to speak to Terry Glover, 51
"Ch Supt Tracey Harman, of Essex Police, said officers were looking to speak to Mr Glover, from Loughton, "in connection with the investigation".
"Ms Harman said officers were investigating whether the crash was linked to "another incident nearby" and made a "direct plea" to Mr Glover to contact police."

Police have also published a photo of him.

Hope his family are left in peace to deal with their grief.

The incident at Roding has not been confirmed and may just be rumours. It's tragic that a young life was taken at Debden though. Just horrible.

All very vague. I imagine there will be a big police presence in Loughton at school run time tomorrow. But hopefully they'll have the guy in custody by then.

Just heard this on the news. Terrible news. And possibly a copycat from the London Bridge attack.

I don't think it's likely to be terrorist related, although of course it's impossible to know what his motives were at this stage. But the area doesn't seem a likely choice for terrorism. They have arrested a local man.

There is press coverage. It’s on every newspapers website and just covered on radio 4. What there doesn’t seem to be at the moment is much detail so there’s only so much that the media can say at the moment.

Ive heard it on every news bulletin. They seemed to have identified and arrested the guy straight away, so maybe if hes related to the victim may be to protect others they're not going out on coverage for no reason.

Police have just announced that the car that mounted the road by Roding at 3.10pm that day following an argument with children was a different car and driver and launched appeal to find him.

Other guy in Roding went into police station and charged with careless driving.

I saw today that he had been charged. I really hope that he pleads guilty so that the kids and all the witnesses don't need to relive everything through a court case.

That is horrendous. Terrifying world we live in.
