Ill-treatment of migrant workers by gang masters

In 2007, Britain celebrated the Bicentenary anniversary of the Abolishment of the slave trade (it took another 30 years to free slaves).

Unfortunately, slave labour is still a feature here, albeit, out of sight, out of mind.

This is totally disgraceful and those responsible should be severely punished.

Absolutely - - what amazes me is that there's a "Gangmaster Licensing Authority"???WTF??

donnie · 14/08/2007 15:41

I heard about this on radio 4 this morning. These people are disgusting parasites who target the poor and desperate and exploit them. I wonder if they have families , kids etc of their own? I wonder if they would like to be treated that way themselves? they are pimps and abusers.

I know, unbelievable

When my parents first came to this country in the 1960s from Jamaica, they were not treated like this even though they were subjected to vicious racism. Immigrants now (well the unacceptable ones - not those from France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand etc) are treated appallingly by these type of people.
