article here

Personally, I think its fab that the tide is turning to realise that men are capable, but I am and at one of the quotes from that writer "I can see that a man would think he had everything but the fact is he doesn't have womanlyness, any maternal aspect to his character and children need that. However nice he is, he can only give the best a man can get and that's only half of the equation." What a stupid narrowminded cow -harumph-

If that child is being provided with a loving parent and taken out of the uncertainties of childrens homes/ foster care - then I think it is fantastic. I see no reason to prevent a single man to adopt any more than a single woman. The quality of care is what counts not the gender of the parent

Exactly. So that woman's comment imo is just designed to be bloodyminded

So basically she would think widowers with kids are substandard parents.

"I can see that a woman would think she had everything but the fact is she doesn't have manlyness, any paternal aspect to her character and children need that. However nice she is, she can only give the best a woman can get and that's only half of the equation."

How nicely does that read?

Stoopid woman!
