rate rise to 6%

our mortgage has already gone up £230 a month from august ( not because of the last rate rise- we had an interest only mortgage to get on property ladder- now this hike will go up another £70 at least?)

better get out and sell a kidney or something.

I think that it worries me as I see the massive jump from paying an interest only mortgage ( which at the time was the only option!) to now paying a repayment which means about an extra £300 per month- its scary- especially as I now earn nothing compared to what I did when we moved into this house.

Im hoping that I win the lottery at some point fio ( my only hope)

If so I will pay off your mortgage.

joking aside- it really does worry me, but im sure we will keep our heads above water. Im hoping.
