I think so. Mums who need to use formula, are better off getting advice from health professionals rather than advertising.

But that is assuming that you have health proffessionals taht are interested. I couldn't get anyone to take me seriously re dd1's lactose intolerance, b/c she was gaining weight. The fact that her tummy was dostended by gas so badly she screamed all night long (and I mean all night) was dismissed. I had to go it alone and research via teh net and varous formula help lines until I found out what was wrong and what milk to get her. Even when she was cured overnight after switching the GP refused to prescribe it for her.

Sorry, irrelevant rant but you cannot rely on health proffsessionals. The more info that is out there the better.

I'm very pro-breastfeeding, but i personally wasn't able to BF my son, he just wouldn't latch on so after a couple of weeks of pumping and bottle feeding him my BM, i just couldn't keep it up and had to change to Formula feeds.

While i don't particularly like brand specific advertising of Formula, i certainly don't think it should be made illegal, mothers need to be informed about the choices that are out there.
