Princess Tiaamii

I'm saying nothing

Apple seems quite normal in comparison though, no?

I was thinking, Jordan's baby's name is right up there with 'Apple' 'Cruz' and 'Bluebell friggin Madonna'

StrwBry · 24/07/2007 23:00

No, I think Apple is the wackiest name I've ever heard in my life! UGH! I hate it. Princess is wacky, but Apple is wrong.

CristinaTheAstonishing · 24/07/2007 23:20

So is this the really clever name that PA was referring to? I'd hate to know what the stupid one would have been. So glad they went for the clever option.

HonoriaGlossop · 24/07/2007 23:26

I am quite concerned at the speed at which she is hurtling toward utter bizarre-ness. Harvey, just a few short years ago; an actual, recognised NAME. then Junior, which admittedly was their first step along the slippery slope....but it is I suppose a name, of sorts......Now Princess Tiaamii.....somebody stop them having kids. What the hell would come next

haven't read the thread but I like it

fairybit · 24/07/2007 23:47

This poor child has been afflicted with this name and 'god help her at school' has come up!! In teaching (and i'd love a few opinions here) generally, the dafter the parents are (and daft parents give their children bizarre names), the dafter the child is!! Are we ever really going to get a brain surgeon or a nuclear physicist named 'Pocahontas McBride'????
If she inherits her Jordan and Peter's genes (assuming Peter is the father), she's probably not headed for a career that involves a great deal of intellect. We have twins in my town named 'Dolce & Gabanna' no kidding!!

Hey, don't be too tough on Jordan....the girl's mother allowed her to get her boobs out for men's mags when she was only a teenager!!! I blame the parents. How long before Princess Teatime or whatever she's called has the number for Playboy Mags on speed dial??

CescaD · 25/07/2007 15:47

Reminds me of Wayne and Waynetta Slob:

"Frogmella?"

"It's exotic."

MuminBrum · 25/07/2007 16:39

Twins called Dolce and Gabbana?

Can you tell us which town this is?

theman · 25/07/2007 16:45

if i ever have a girl i plan to call her porsche but have been told that it is now common and chavish cause people think of the car and not the shakespeare character

MhamaiJane · 25/07/2007 16:52

I just keep thinking of Timotei shampoo.

WendyWeber · 25/07/2007 16:53

theman, that may be because the Shakespeare character is spelt Portia.

Oooh but FioFio surely you have retained the right to veto his choice if necessary!?

theman · 25/07/2007 17:05

i know, unfortunately anyone who i mention it to assumes it is porsche.
merchant of venice rocks.

EricGallagher · 25/07/2007 17:11

fairybit

Very nice of you to question the childs parentage, really mature.

If I have a daughter she could be Princess Judeen... of Djhudeeen, to be a bit more exotic.
We should have got Jordan on here. I can imagine the "I'm trying to come up with a name for my DD" thread now.

krazykoolkazza · 25/07/2007 21:29

Ultimately, any name is just a collection of sounds - some collections are just more acceptable in certain social circles and cultures than others.

Making up names is nothing new either, people have been doing it for centuries - I'm sure even Susan was considered pretty out there at one time.

Who knows, Tiaamii could even be pretty mainstream in a few years time - rest assured some people out there will like it, after all look at how "Brooklyn" caught on .

I can't say I've heard Tiaamii before because I haven't (not surprising I suppose if they've made it up) but as far as I'm concerned a lot of people of Afro-Caribbean origin routinely call their daughters names which do not sound too dissimilar to this one.

Good on them for choosing something different I say - after all does the world really need another Olivia, Grace, Emily, Sophie or Charlotte?

onlytheone · 25/07/2007 22:27

poor thing. She's going to spend her life spelling it out!! Know of a girl called "Tuesday". At least you can spell it!

fairybit · 25/07/2007 23:51

Thanks Eric, I pride myself on my maturity.

MummyPenguin · 26/07/2007 09:43

I thought that too, about fairybit saying "if the baby's Pete's". Bit below the belt. Whatever else they may be, K&P are clearly a loving couple and it's ridiculous to suggest that the baby may not be his. She will probably look a lot like Junior, although they say she looks like Kate.

MummyPenguin · 26/07/2007 09:44

Onlyone - in my DC's school there is a Tuesday and a Wednesday. I kid you not.
