Good. So I can talk about the utter vulgarity and tedium your constant dredging up of every shred of worthless hack journalism that oozes out of this family's tragedy.

meandmyflyingmachine · 12/07/2007 16:50

Holy Mother of GOD!

You claim to be so affected, so distressed about this family's ordeal, yet reading through this thread it seems more like a dispassionate picking over the bones to me. With the occasional reference to how sad you are just to make it acceptable. Mozhe is right. It is sinister.

GreengottsTheGoblinBank · 12/07/2007 19:09

It's the obvious enjoyment of it that makes my flesh creep. Weirdos.

TaylorsMummy · 12/07/2007 20:14

fgs,how can you accuse anyone of enjoying this?? i can't believe you would even think that.just cos people are still interested in this case and wish to comment on it does not make it obvious they are enjoying it and does not give you the right to call people 'weirdos'

HufflepuffCushion · 12/07/2007 20:21

Why do you have the need to post every tiny snippet of information, most of which is hearsay or gossip from some trashy newspaper or Sky TV though?

It is more than merely being 'interested'.

And why the endless raking over the coals, and coming up with your own theories on what may or may not have happened, or who or who may not be involved?

I don't know if that makes you a weirdo.

But it is certainly tasteless.

NKF · 12/07/2007 20:37

You wait till they start with the detective work? And the psychics. It's unreal.

mozhe · 12/07/2007 20:47

I think it is an unhealthy thing to keep raking over....try and focus on something more meaningful to your life maybe ?

MaryAnnSingleton · 13/07/2007 10:00

hear hear mohze !

LittleBellatrixLeBoot · 13/07/2007 10:05

It is extremely rare for me to agree wholeheartedly, one hundred percent unreservedly with Mozhe.

But this time, I fervently do.

Some people who are fascinated by the darker side of life, take up the reading of crime fiction. May I suggest that that might be a good alternative to raking over the real tragedy of real people going through real suffering for your own entertainment? Most libraries will let you borrow at least 12 items on your tickets nowadays.

GroaningGameGirly · 13/07/2007 10:08

My norks are very sore and tender at them moment so you won't mind if I clasp them gently, will you? In spirit, I'm fair squishing 'em.

theman · 13/07/2007 11:50

am i the only one around who is completely ambivilant to this whole story?
i mean i can sympathise and feel sorry for them but it is a really passing thought.
where as my annoyance at people putting up "maddie" posters in an office in bristol or talking about the case as though it is the most important thing in the world and anything less than a religious like devotion to finding her shows you to be a heartless ogre, well that annoyance will last a lifetime.
also people who get annoyed when you criticise her parents.
