I heard yesterday that Tesco are going to close their instore bakery’s, not it seems they plan on closing all their counters in 90+ stores (fish and deli counters) in a bid to save money.
I shop with Tesco but I’m not sure I want too anymore, most of their stores are now full of self check outs to save employing staff and now this. Are other supermarkets likely to follow meaning more job losses?
I refuse to use self check outs as I feel people’s jobs are at risk the more we use them plus I actually like a real person to scan my shopping, the same with meat and fish counters, it’s nice to select your food and quantity whilst talking to a real person.
