Just seen this on BBC teatime news, apparently he's uninjured and back resting at Sandringham.

Heard this on the radio - they said the car ended up on it's side.
Is it understood he was driving ? At 97 is he ?

what about the other people its all about the Duke?

I really don't care, but I think that elderly drivers should be retested regularly as they often cause accidents. People who are driving should be in good enough health and he isn't.

I hope the other motorists are okay.

There are a whole host of useless drivers who are in their 20s, 30s etc - we see them everyday driving too slow, too fast, too erratic and just plain shit driving! I don't agree with the argument that there should be an age limit. His accident could have happened to anyone.

Apparently accidents have been quite common at that point in the road and the local council was already discussing changes.

I’ve cycled past that junction. The A149 is everything bad about a road-single carriageway, high speed, lots of side roads, but not really an alternative way to get from say, Kings Lynn to Snettisham. I don’t think 97 year olds should be driving, especially if they’ve got access to staff who can drive them around.
