DH and I speculating what the cost must have been to divert the Chinese ship to rescue her. And does she stay on that ship until it reaches Argentina? Anyone know?

No idea but I'm interested also.

When a boat is in distress the rules of the sea say that any boat that is able to offer help is obligated to do so. It's maritime law. Big ships are tracked so it would be clear if they weren't upholding the convention. That and it's just the decent thing to do.

It will have cost but the ship will have to absorb that. She will stay on it till it reaches its intended port unless the situation is critical and she needs air lifting (currently I don’t believe this to be the case).

Does anyone know if you have insurance for things like this?

The nearest ships going to help makes sense - it could happen to anyone. There but by the grace of God. But it could have a major commercial impact.
