a while ago there was a thread started regarding an car accident which a driver (who had driven away from another accident earlier in the day) had hit a mother and daughter, and the daughter died.

Flicking on teletext last night, in the headline thing it said somebody had been arrested but I wasn't sure if it was the same person - so did the get the driver?

It was a wee girl in Edinburgh. Her mother has since lost one of her legs as the result of her injuries, too.

That poor family. What an awful awful thing to happen. I hope the driver gets a severe punishment and not one of those 10 months in jail but free after 5 weeks kind of deals.
