Acid attack on three year old child

Apologies if I've missed another thread on this. I've just seen today that the identities of the five men arrested will not be made public. Why? How can five grown men all collude in such a thing?

One of them was the child's father, the mother and child were in a safe house and were found by the men who attacked her son, im presuming it's to protect the mother and child from being found again as the fathers identity will mean the child can be identified. Hope the little boy will be okay I believe the attack was aimed at his mother.

The only explanation for not releasing the names that immediately springs to my mind is protecting the identity of the injured child.

Its odd but the 3 younger men don't look like ethnic Slovaks. They look more like afgans. I'm wondering if they are afgans, but with Slovak citizenship, if that makes sense. It would also explain the apparent willingness to just throw acid at women and children they don't even know. Slovaks are a decent people, I can't envisage them doing this to be honest.

NotSoMuch - I am not someone who sees racism everywhere, but that is definitely an outrageous statement. You are implying that Afghans are not a decent people, and equally as ridiculously (though perhaps not as offensively), that all Slovaks are too moral to do something like this.

The perpetrators have done an evil act, regardless of ethnicity or citizenship.

The other men charged are Norbert Pulko, 22, from London, Jan Dudi, 25, and Adam Cech, 27, from Birmingham, and Jabar Paktia, 41, from Wolverhampton.
The father cannot be named for legal reasons.

OK I retract my remark about Slovaks being decent people. I certainly didn't mean to imply that Afgans aren't decent. I guess what I clumsily tried to say was that the men look more like Afgans than Slovaks.
