Iceland kills Blue Whale

Iceland appear to have ignored the moratorium on killing Blue Whales.

I saw this as well , horrific, I was also shocked that they can harpoon fin whales. I am so naive I thought this was all long long harpooning these wonderful intelligent creatures. Human beings are dreadful sometimes.

Their government had lifted the ban. It’s apaling and I am boycotting Iceland as much as possible.

We are going there in a couple of weeks :-(

It wasn't a blue whale, thank God.

I don't think it matters, it's still a whale.

I didn't phrase that well. It's still bad that a hybrid was slaughtered.

I saw this too, together with the news about it being a v rare hybrid.

I just don't understand why any whaling exists..
