Shock
tiredemma · 10/05/2007 11:42

I saw her on tv a few weeks ago, she was in a right state- devastated.

madamenoir · 10/05/2007 11:42

If the baby was screaming and the abuser wasn't letting you in...wouldn't you call 999? I think I would.

Stunned by SS sending a letter. What sort of response is that ffs?

babyonboard · 10/05/2007 13:36

The picture of the boyfriend is horrific.

Mumpbump · 10/05/2007 13:46

I suppose you just never think that it is going to result in a child's death because that possibility is too horrendous to contemplate... Poor little boy...

ruty · 10/05/2007 14:25

another failure by SS. So terribly sad.

madamenoir · 10/05/2007 21:15

Not only the SS failed that baby. Its all too easy to say the authorities didn't do anything when we should also take responsibility for the weakest and most helpless members of our society. We all failed baby Aaron creating a society where this can happen. And what sort of community can't save a baby when that baby is so badly beaten he looks like the "elephant man" and everyone notices. 13 months old, he must have been terrified.

TwoIfBySea · 10/05/2007 21:21

Oh that poor, poor baby. The mother and that monster she was with should be sterilised so they can never put another child through that.

It just sickens me that these people exist.

expatinscotland · 10/05/2007 21:22

Geezus there are such fucked up people in the world.

Fucking hell.

questionname · 12/05/2007 00:16

How terribly sad what a beautiful little boy. Look at all those organisations who could have done something and didn't.

Nikki76 · 12/05/2007 00:21

How can anyone do that to a poor defenceless litte mite like that? I hope he rots in hell and he gets buggered in the prison shower by a bloke with a huge cock!!!!! Bastard!!!

SofiaAmes · 12/05/2007 05:19

If ss won't do anything, no point in calling the police. They would just refer it to social services. Disgusting system.

Winston · 12/05/2007 11:19

I cant watch or read any more news. I think I have finally cracked after seeing/reading about such horror happening to innocent children in this cruel world. It makes me sick to think people can do this to children and to be honest the problem seems to be getting worse. I so wish there was a way the decent human beings amongst us could do something. I just feel so helpless. I think my one question I have in life is way can scum like that breed like rabbits but decent human beings who deserve a family so very often cant? Seriously, what a F**d up world we live in.Off to hug my DC xx

kittypants · 12/05/2007 11:33

sick bastards!

lissielou · 12/05/2007 11:44

well said winston.

fortyplus · 12/05/2007 11:48

The truth is that this has always happened - we are just so much more aware these days. So although this story makes me feel sick, hopefully as time goes by the growing awareness of child abuse will mean that ordinary people step in and 'interfere' by calling police or social services rather than refusing to believe that abuse can be happening to children they know.
