Well this is good news isn't it?

wannaBeWhateverIWannaBe · 10/05/2007 10:27

is it? "gina Ford wins" ...?

will this not now set a huge precedent?

Mumpbump · 10/05/2007 10:30

An apology was always on offer so it is a fairly empty victory. I think the whole thing makes her look very unreasonable to be honest...

paulaplumpbottom · 10/05/2007 10:30

I mean its good that they don't have to go to court

auntyspan · 10/05/2007 10:40

can we start discussing her again then?!?!

beckmo · 10/05/2007 10:41

It hasn't done her reputation any good whatsoever. At least her name can be mentioned on here again. As long as we are nice!

Ridiculous.

Callisto · 10/05/2007 10:46

I think that we should continue to ignore her. I would also like to know that if I call her childcare methods 'inhumane and barbaric' for eg will this will constitute a personal attack on her?

Callisto · 10/05/2007 10:47

MN Towers - feel free to delete my post if necessary btw.

Eleusis · 10/05/2007 10:55

Yippee! Congrats MN Towers.

paulaplumpbottom · 10/05/2007 10:55

Thats a very good point. Couldn't saying anything negative about her methods be perceived as a personal attack?

hub2dee · 10/05/2007 12:26

BBC home page at the mo.

beckmo · 10/05/2007 12:27

Watch it Callisto -GF will be on here sorting you out. Once she's had her breakfast at 7.30am on the dot and found some space in her timetable.....

SoapOnARope · 10/05/2007 12:27

hello hub, how is your adorable dd?

LIZS · 10/05/2007 12:28

Also Daily Mail !

shonaspurtle · 10/05/2007 12:32

Am I allowed to say that the person who made the comment on Telegraph site about demand feeding beibg "unsavoury" and "responsible for a lot of the problems youngsters display nowaday" sounds a bit odd?

Nowt to do with Gina that, a neuroses all of her own...

shonaspurtle · 10/05/2007 12:33

neurosis that is, though she may have more.

ruty · 10/05/2007 13:17

did someone really say that demand feeding is responsible for a lot of the problems youngsters display nowaday? PMSL.

Callisto · 10/05/2007 13:24

Here is the quote in full:

I wholeheartedly endorse Gina Ford's methods. A new mother, I found the notion of demand feeding entirely unsavoury and followed Gina Ford's routine from day 1. My daughter is thriving, contented and has slept through the night from weeks old. Nor has she ever suffered fron colic. Consequently we have been able to enjoy these precious early days.
I loathe the idea of demand feeding and genuinely believe it is responsible for a lot of the problems youngsters display nowadays.

Bizarre attitude or what?

ruty · 10/05/2007 13:30

don't know whether to laugh or cry.

ruty · 10/05/2007 13:31

i mean someone who uses the phrase 'entirely unsavoury' with regards to any kind of breastfeeding kind of gets the alarm bells ringing...

Enid · 10/05/2007 13:33

I loathe over-controlling mothers who like to feel superior to others and have no instinctive understanding of how to parent and believe they are responsible for a lot of problems youngsters display nowadays

gess · 10/05/2007 13:35

Is the BBC one right? It says compensation was paid, I thought it was a contribution towards costs. Has a different ring to it.

NKF · 10/05/2007 13:35

You wouldn't expect a Telgraph feature to say anything else though would you?

ruty · 10/05/2007 13:36

very true gess.

Callisto · 10/05/2007 13:39

Ok, so who is Gina Vauxhall then?
