You know I read the Guardian online and I've never come across her Blush. I've just read her final column which was published on February 28th. She seems to have had a life well lived. But yes, it's sad.

Oh how sad. She was terrifically funny. Condolences to her family.

Oh that is sad, but thanks for passing the news on.
She was so down to earth, wise, funny, politically inspiring, amd she wrote with warmth & humanity.
I shall miss her columns.

I used to enjoy her columns as well.

She was the best thing about the Guardian, loved her pieces about Treasure her daughter. And her dogs and Fielding and oh just all of it.

Oh that is sad; RIP.

For what it’s worth, though, I think she’d have been glad to go quickly (as she apparently did). She wrote recently about the prospect of ending up in a care home and how awful she felt that would be.

Bluelady · 11/03/2018 15:24

Oh no. I loved Michelle.

I liked her columns too. Especially the treasure ones. They were very funny.

I loved her columns, they were funny and humane. Especially the ones about her bringing her ailing mother to live with her. I think she leaves a daughter.

Oh I loved Michelle! I felt as if I knew Fielding and Rosemary!
