Warning: if you've recently miscarried you might not want to follow this link - it upset me and I haven't experienced miscarriage.

HOW could they do this to that poor girl?! ... WHAT was the rationale behind this?!!!

wobblyknicks · 22/07/2004 13:22

I'm lost for words!!!! Stupid and idiotic don't begin to describe it - what on earth gave them the idea that that would be a good idea????

coppertop · 22/07/2004 13:24

OMG!

What on earth made them think that this was a good idea - or even acceptable? Hadn't the poor girl already gone through enough???

Hulababy · 22/07/2004 15:02

I have just read this on the BBC site now and was appalled. It is horrendous.

Yes, some hospitals are not really sensible... When my pregnancy group went for a trip to the maternity unit in my hospital, the stupid midwife who showed us around was making stupid jokes all the time, when we arrive to the are reserved for parents who have just lost a child, she told us "well, some people miscarry or the baby dies while at labour, if it's not in use I will show you around then proceeded to knock the door and there was a family there, she said "Oh well, we can't see it, some baby has died..." We obviously complained, there's something about Yorkshire hospitals!!!!! though we found Leeds Infirmary great and a huge difference from our local one.

Oh Chandra that's awful!!

Hulababy · 22/07/2004 15:20

How awful Chandra Luckily I had no problems with the labour suites or parenthood classes at Sheffield.

DS had an operation in the Leeds Infirmary and believe me I couldn't believe how different that hospital was from York's where I even found worms in the shower of the maternity ward.
