Incident at Oxford Circus - Police responding

Just passed through the station and all was calm below ground. What has happened?

British Transport Police have advised people avoid the area. People have been seen running away.

Station is now closed...

Oh dear. Anyone know what happened?

I hate jumping every time someone’s left an unattended bag or whatever, but, you can’t help it can you?

Twitter reports suggest there was gang fighting and armed police have been deployed.
