Can't stand him, but neither can I stand that whiny Liz Jones - what a pita she comes over as being! When she did her Guardian column on getting married I always thought it was a pisstake, I couldn't believe anyone could be so superficial and PATHETIC (sorry to shout but she raises my blood pressure!).

Yes, he's a git, but omg they were kind of made for each other, weren't they? I do wonder sometimes if it isn't all some stunt for the media and they have a very happy, stable marriage with no affairs etc etc etc....?

I agree with lovecat - from what little I know of these turtledoves (Private Eye savagely lampooned them recently but it wasn't difficult ), they deserve each other and by staying together are keeping each other from forming relationships with other functioning human beings.
I do think the editors who allow either Mr or Mrs to keep submitting columns should be sacked though

I can't really take either of them seriously tbh. Still gives you hope doesn't it, if those 2 can get decent jobs, must be hope for the rest of us.

It does amaze me that there is such a market for their wildly different versions of their lives. Agree Marina Private Eye was very funny on their different views of their sex lives (liz - we are in a celibate relationship, Nirps- hail the sex god incarnate)

Maybe they are both having sex with editors in order to get all this work. ANy lawyers reading, please insert Allegedly anywhere you like in that sentence. It is A Joke. It is Not True. But if it were, on any hypothetical parallel universe, to be true, it would be perhaps to be hoped that one or both is better at the sex than at the writing.
