Just wondering, as I think the decision is today...

I feel very sorry for this woman, but I do think the decision by the judges was right.

Prob already been said, but in my view consent had already been given at the point at which the embryos were created. I wonder if it would be possible to imagine a situation where a man could force a woman to have an abortion if he did not wish to be a father, or had changed his mind. I dont think that the right decision was made, though it is obviously a hugely complex legal area.

I think it is so sad, he has deprived her of being a mother despite agreeing to the creation of their embryos in the first place. He can go on to have his own biological children with anyone he wants whilst she will never be able her own biological child....I feel very sorry for them both but feel the decision was wrong.

Do you think this tragic case will ensure tighter legal controls over couples going through IVF?
Are they needed?

Sobernow, I said it was immoral and unethical to trap an unwilling man into fatherhood. I completely fail to see what possible connection that could have with sperm DONATION.
And it IS immoral and unethical.
