So this door was a replacement to upgrade the building to meet current regulations. What has now been provided appears less safe whether from sub standard materials, workmanship or both! Have you and your neighbours reported your concerns to the HA? It's unacceptable but doesn't surprise me. Someone somewhere along the line is making a lot of money from these contracts.

Yep Exactly. Which will include charging for the endless call outs to come and fix things. its about the £££££££

You literally cannot get people to see that when you live in social housing though. Its free so we should be grateful. Even if its crap and not right and what we had before was right, which it was

IMO the reason tenants have been treated even worse since Grenfell is because the housing sector has seen no one go to prison for Grenfell or even charges brought so they now know they can get away with literally anything

Shocking state of affairs. I feel for all those in these desperate living situations. For all our so called health and safety standards it still remains that residents and homeowners have such little protection. It is shameful as a relatively rich country in 2025 to have people living in virtual slums.

I await the day when criminal charges and convictions are brought against those responsible. Will the families ever see justice?

All these years have past and so many residential buildings still stand with the same cladding, while arguments about who will pay for the works to make it safe continue. Also the fire brigade say so many recommendations have since been implemented but from the latest documentary it appears the same procedures would be followed with regard to staying in the building and waiting for the fire service. Surely in any building with this cladding residents should be following different evacuation procedures.

A very slow step forward. It will be 10 long years next year. And if they do bring charges how long and drawn out will the court proceedings be? Poor families still no end in sight. I'm surprised at the number of individuals potentially facing charges.

A lot and how many companies that were involved are now dissolved? Wonder who the fall guys will be?

It’s one of the big problems with having a public enquiry, but a year to make decisions and after that 2 years to come to court is horrendous on its own. Our justice system seems to have completely lost sight of how justice delayed is justice denied.
