Just watched him be interviewed on the news this morning (the 8am one)and he did a strange 'sucking bottom lip in when breathing' thing....

Anyone else noticed this or just me?

No, I've been noticing it for years - and once you notice it, you can't stop noticing it!

hippipotami · 22/03/2007 09:42

Oh no!!! Don't tell me I have just condemned myself to a lifetime of watching
Gordon Browns bottom lip!!!!

Yup, yup, I'm afraid you have

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 22/03/2007 09:44

I know!

I always thought he was chewing, but it appears not!

hunkermunker · 22/03/2007 09:45

Have you really only just noticed this?!

Callisto · 22/03/2007 09:50

I hadn't noticed the bottom lip thing (and hopefully my goldfish memory will have forgotten about it by the time I see him again) but has anyone else noticed his slowly disappearing Scottish accent?

paulaplumpbottom · 22/03/2007 10:49

Did anyone see him last night? What was with the weird forced smile every minute or so. Odd

suedonim · 22/03/2007 16:24

Oh, I can't stop watching his lip, either. Apparently, the scary smiling thing is because he's had work done on his pearlies and is no longer afraid to show them.

DaisyMOO · 22/03/2007 16:33

I've never noticed this before, but I've always been fascinated by the way his jaw drops like a puppet's whenever he pauses. I find it impossible to actually listen to anything he says because I can't stop watching his jaw

Whoooosh · 22/03/2007 16:39

I noticed it yonks ago and find it incredibly irritating-well I find the whole of him irritating if I am honest....

MissusC · 22/03/2007 16:42

PMSL - I've been obsessed (well, mildly horrified really) by the lip/jaw extravaganza for ages. Isn't it awful?!! Every now and then my DH does some kind of hideous, manly throat clearing thing (urgh!) and it has been called 'doing a Gordon' or an 'alright Gordon' for a long time now. How can we have a potential Prime Minister whose tic obsesses the entire world?!!!

paulaplumpbottom · 22/03/2007 16:43

Imagine the fun Jay Leno could have

suedonim · 22/03/2007 16:53

Maybe it's a blessing we haven't had tv since Sunday so I've not had to witness this week's Gordie-fest.
