I have just been watching it for a few minutes and wondered if the questions are told to him beforehand

Does anyone know?

Each question is made up of 2 parts. He knows the first part which is usually pretty tame. For example asking about investment in the North East or something. He doesn't know about the second part of the question (for example - can the prime minister explain why unemployment in the NE is at its highest for blah blah blah...) but he will have an inkling depending on the interests/constituency of the person asking the question. People in his office give him all sorts of ideas beforehand as to what might be asked so he does usually have a pretty good idea.

Also how is it decided who will get to ask a question

I mean loads of them stand up and few are chosen

is it the 1st one to stand or is that prearranged?

I just think TB leg muscles get a real work out

UP DOWN UP DOWN UP DOWN

Good question, I have wondered about this as well

Some of them stand up whenever another member of the house stands up to speak. It's a tradition thing. They don't all have questions to ask. The speaker has a list of members who will ask questions.
