ahh well - think of us in the private sector that get equally sh*tty pay rises.

The owner has put up fees for the residents in the care home by £60 a WEEK (per resident - and there's 26 of them) since I started 1 1/2yrs ago.......and we got a paltry 20p an hour payrise......

how do they expect people to pay the council tax which is ever increasing?

bet my payrise won't even cover that increase. Maths not strong point but thinks it works out for me a payrise of 28p an hour
